antique Victorian era black quilted bustle pad dates from the 1880s.
It is made of a quilted muted black polished cotton fabric with
scalloped trim edging and stuffed with horse hair. There is a cloth
strap tie belt around the waist for closure. This unique bustle
pad is also called a "crinoletta" and was worn below your
waist on the back to distend skirts. It measures 12 inches wide
and 7 inches high, with a 31 inch adjustable tie waistband belt.
