This vintage Chinese peking knot silk pajama lounge set dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black and white silk fabric with hand embroidered colorful Chinese figure medallions done in peking knot, forbidden blind stitch work. This lovely two piece lingerie lounging set includes a matching jacket and pants. The short robe style jacket has white silk cuffs, collar and trim with gold metallic couching embroidery work. There are decorative blue silk loop toggle style buttons for closure down the front, and it is fully lined in a royal blue silk fabric. The jacket measures 27 inches long, with a 44 inch waist, 42 inch bust, and 17 inch back. There are matching embroidered fabric loose fitting pants. The pants measure 40 inches long, with a 26 inch inseam, 48 inch hips, a 46 inch waist, and 24 inch wide leg cuffs. This lovely lounging pajama set is in excellent clean wearable condition. The pants waistband is out and needs to be restitched with a drawstring closure added inside. It is truly a piece of wearable art which could easily be worn out today.
