This vintage Chinese floral silk embroidered jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk satin fabric with a variety of pastel hand embroidered flowers. This lovely loose fitting jacket style robe might have been worn to attend a wedding. There is silver metallic trim edging the jacket, blue silk toggles with no buttons for closure, two black silk tie flaps hanging down the bottom front, and a high mandarin collar. It is fully lined in blue silk, and is all hand stitched. The jacket measures 28 inches long, with 44 inch hips, a 34 inch waist, 36 inch bust and 15 inch back. It is in excellent clean wearable condition with only some fraying of the inside silk lining the arm holes. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Chinese art.
