antique Victorian era black and white velvet chenille jacket cape
dates from the 1880s. It is made of a black and white voided silk
velvet fabric done in a abstract floral design. There is 4 inch
long black chenille hand knotted tassel fringe trim around the collar,
cuffs, front opening and bottom hem. There is a separate matching
fabric small mandarin style collar with black silk chenille fringe
edging the bottom. This magnificent mantle style winter jacket cape
has set in sleeves and is fully lined in a quilted black silk fabric
with inside pocket. There are hooks and eyes down the front for
closure. The mantle measures 25 inches long, with a 40 inch waist,
38 inch bust, and 15 inch back. It is in excellent clean wearable
