This rare vintage hand painted Mexican circle skirt and top dates from the 1950s. It is made of a black and white cotton fabric background with bright colorful hand painted silk screen geometric Mayan designs. This rare matching two piece outfit includes a fabulous full circle skirt, with a side metal zipper for closure. The skirt measures 30 inches long, with a 32 inch waist, and the bottom skirt circumference is 220 inches. There is a matching sleeveless top blouse, with a scoop neckline, and back zipper closure. The top measures 20 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 32 inch waist, and 38 inch bust. Both garments have a "Maya de Mexico Original" label and size 18 tag sewn inside. This stunning skirt and top set has wonderful graphics. It is in excellent clean wearable condition and looks to have never been worn. It is a great piece of wearable Mexican textile art.
