Victorian era antique ladies bathing suit costume dates from 1900.
It is made of a navy blue linen fabric, with white trim edging.
This rare two piece bathing outfit includes a one piece romper style
pantalet bloomers, and separate matching skirt. The romper bathing
suit has a white star, and striped trim on the front bodice. There
buttons down the front for closure, and around the waistband to
attach the separate skirt. The bathing suit measures 43 inches long,
with a 30 inch waist, 44 inch bust, and 14 inch back. The skirt
measures 26 inches long, with a 30 inch waist. This rare bathing
beauty sailor style outfit is in good wearable condition, with some
fabric fading on the skirt, and several small holes and pulls in
the fabric.
