Victorian era antique black wool soutache mantle capelet dates from
1890. It is made of a fine black wool fabric, with black braiding
silk soutache work trim. This wonderful winter mantle style short
cape has a high neck collar and yoke trimmed in soutache work, with
gathered shoulders, and hooks & eyes down the front for closure.
The capelet is fully lined in black silk, and measures 18 inches
long, 16 inches across the shoulders, with a 15 inch neck, and 59
inch bottom circumference. It is in excellent wearable condition
with no moth damage, and only some slight wear to the trim. $100 |
