This vintage white sheer wedding gown and wax flower veil dates from the 1940s. The gown is made of a sheer white nylon fabric, with a separate white nylon taffeta slip style dress underneath. This beautiful bridal wedding gown has short puffed sleeves, with crinoline shoulder padding inside for fullness, a sweetheart front neckline, full floor length skirt, and side zipper closure. The separate sleeveless slip style floor length dress has a side zipper closure, with an additional 1930s style cream colored silk bias cut slip sewn inside it, giving the wedding gown three layers. The dress measures 55 inches long, with 46 inch hips, a 26 inch waist, 36 inch bust, and 13 1/2 inch back. Included with the dress is a matching nylon fabric short veil, with a heart shaped wired halo headpiece covered with gathered nylon fabric, and wax flower bouquets on both the front and back. This plain and simple WWII war time bridal ensemble is in good wearable condition. There are a few small faint age spots on the veil, and a few broken wax flower petals. All of which are difficult to see.
