This Victorian era antique handmade French Mirecourt bobbin lace lappet collar dates from late 1800s. It is made of an off white color handmade French Mirecourt bobbin lace with cordonnets set just within the cloth stitch scrolling floral leaf pattern designs, connecting brides and bars. This lovely lace collar has tapering long lappet flared points along the bottom ends and could have been worn around the neck as a collar on a fancy opera coat cape. The collar measures 113 inches long and from 3 to 10 inches wide. It is in excellent clean wearable condition and is truly a wonderful piece of antique lace art. $150 |
