This vintage I. Magnin black silver lamé bustle gown & stole shawl dates from the 1940s. It is made of a luxurious black silk taffeta fabric with a sunburst brocade pattern and silver lamé thread woven through it. This fabulous floor length evening gown has a fitted drop waist bodice, with stays sewn inside, shoulder straps, a squared neckline, pleated full skirt with a gathered draping bustle back and side zipper closure. There is an "I. Magnin & Co. Importers" label sewn inside. The dress measures 60 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 36 inch hips and bust. There is a matching fabric stole shawl style capelet with a draping crescent shape and long lappet ties for closure on the front. The stole measures 42 inches long, 20 inches wide and has 30 inch long ties on either side. It is in excellent wearable condition, with only some slight faint underarm discoloration.
