This vintage burgundy velvet rhinestone clasp drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a burgundy wine color silk velvet fabric, with a silver rhinestone encrusted buckle clasp trim on the side waist sash. This delightful drop waist dress is loose fitting and two piece. There is a slip dress underneath with a cream silk sleeveless top and attached burgundy velvet bottom skirt. The separate matching velvet long tunic top has a draping asymmetrical front neckline with a bow tie trim sash, long tapered sleeves and a draping fabric sash waist. There is an "I. Magnin & Co. Sport's Wear California Paris" store label sewn inside. The dress measures 47 inches long, with 40 inch hips, waist, bust, a 14 inch back and 26 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with only a small repair mend on the back of the silk underslip top and slight underarm stains. All of which is hidden underneath by the tunic top. $100 |
