This antique Victorian era women's wool bathing costume swimsuit dress dates from 1900. It is made of a fine light weight black wool fabric, with white stripe piping trim edging the neckline, cuffs and waistband. This ladies bathing costume dress has a rounded V neckline, gathered shoulders, short puffy sleeves, a fitted waist, with hook and eye closures along the front side. There is a "Union Made Clean and Healthful Conditions" label sewn inside. The dress measures 39 inches long, with a 30 inch waist, 46 inch bust and 16 inch back. It is in good wearable condition, with several small frayed holes in the skirt. The bloomers are missing which would have been worn underneath. $100 |
