This vintage Art Deco blue silk gold embroidered turquoise beaded drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a bright royal blue color sheer silk chiffon fabric, with gold metallic thread chain stitch embroidery work, black thread inserts and a black silk bottom skirt hem. There is Art Deco bead work trim on the sleeve cuffs and bottom skirt done in turquoise, gold beading, with tiny mirrored squares which has an ethnic Indian inspiration design. This delightful drop waist dress has a loose fitting style, with pleated gathers along the side hips, a V neckline with tie front, tiny silk covered button trim down the front and long sleeves with fitted cuffs. The dress measures 46 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 38 inch waist, bust, 14 inch back and 22 inch long sleeves. It is in good wearable condition, with a few tiny pin holes and some faint discoloration staining in areas on the front (see close-up). The blue silk has worn off several of the button trim accents. This would be great for design.
