This vintage black velvet gold sequin beaded Warsaw Polish folk vest bodice top dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black velvet fabric, with hand beaded gold, colored metallic sequins and glass beading done in a decorative abstract floral leaf pattern design. This fabulous folk costume Warsaw Polish sleeveless vest style bodice top has a ribbon lacing front closure and petal shaped tabs scalloped along the peplum skirted bottom hem. It is fully lined in linen, with a "Warsaw Exported by Prodimex Made in Poland" label sewn inside. The vest measures 18 1/2 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 38 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few missing sequin beads and the shoulder straps have been taken in. The original lacing closure is missing and new ribbon has been added. These Krakowianka vests were worn for dancing and are a wonderful piece of wearable Polish textile folk art!
