1920s Vintage Art Deco Red Silk Chiffon Cobalt Blue Beaded Flapper Dress
This vintage amazing Art Deco red silk chiffon cobalt blue beaded flapper dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a bright red color sheer silk chiffon fabric, with contrasting cobalt blue hand bead work done in an Art Deco abstract geometric pattern design. This fabulous flapper dress is loose fitting, with a drop waist, belted sash, rounded scoop neckline, sleeveless with open sides and a scalloped teardrop bottom hemline skirt. It is fully lined, with a red silk slip dress sewn inside underneath and side snap closures inside. The dress measures 52 inches long, with 40 inch hips, a 30 inch waist and 36 inch bust. It is in good wearable condition, with only a few loose missing beads and the snaps are missing off the end of the belt for closure. The dress has been altered, taken in 2 inches at the waist inside to be made shorter and could be let out. This is truly a rare and extraordinary piece of wearable Art Deco beaded textile art!
