This pair of vintage Art Deco black silk and gold metallic lamé shoes dates from the 1920s. They are made of a black silk satin and gold metallic colorful silk lamé brocade fabric. The shoes are lined in white kid leather with gold embossed lettering inside "J & J Slater - New York". They have the original black silk ribbon ties on the front vamps. These elegant flapper style evening dance shoes have 2 1/2 inch high French spool fabric covered heels and rounded toes. They measure 10 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide and are stamped inside size 4 1/2 B, but are probably more of a modern day size 6 narrow. The shoes are in excellent condition and have been gently worn with only some very minor scuffing on the sides and toes.
