This rare pair of unworn Victorian era antique brown velvet strap high button boots date from the 1880s. They are made of chocolate brown silk velvet fabric. There are eight open cutwork straps with eight brown buttons for closure along the side. These rare ladies high top fashion boots have rounded toes, tiny brown velvet bows on the insteps and brown velvet covered cube heels. They are stamped on the bottom "Emery, Bird, Thayer & Co.". The boots measure 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, 9 inches tall, with 2 1/2 inch heels. My guess on size would be a 6 narrow. These beautiful boots are old store stock and have never been worn. They are in excellent wearable condition and would make for a wonderful display piece. These are truly a rare find.
