This pair of antique Victorian era black wool and leather high top button boots date from the 1870s. They are made of a black leather front shoe with black wool upper boot. The boots have squared toes, with decorative open cutwork straps and black crochet balls trimming them across the instep. There are nine black buttons along the scalloped edged sides for closure and stacked black wooden round cube heels. The boots measure 9 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 1 1/2 inch high heels. They are in good condition and have been gently worn with some wear and fraying on the wool fabric. These beautiful boots would make for a great display piece.
