This pair of Victorian era black leather high top button boots date from 1900. They are made of a supple black leather. The boots have slight rounded pointy toes, with twelve black buttons along the side for closure, and stacked wooden black cube heels. They are stamped inside the tops "Strawbridge & Clothier Philadelphia". The boots measure 11 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels, and are 11 inches in circumference around the tops. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be about a size 7. They are very narrow with small ankles and calves and would make for a good display piece. The boots are in good wearable condition and have been gently worn with some minor scuffing, and the buttons have been moved over to make them larger. These are beautiful quality made boots.
