pair of antique Ottoman period Turkish gold metallic shoes date
from 1920. They are made of a faded violet purple linen fabric,
with gold metallic threads lavishly embroidered with couching work
in geometric designs. The shoes are fully lined in tanned leather
inside. They are all hand stitched and have hard leather stacked
soles. These stunning backless slipper style shoes measure 10 inches
long, and 3 inches wide. They are in excellent wearable condition,
and have been gently worn. The shoes are truly a beautiful piece
of wearable Turkish textile art.
