late Edwardian era brown velvet net lace wide brim hat dates from
1918. It is made of a dark brown silk velvet fabric crown with a
sheer brown net lace covered wire brim. This early cloche style
hat has a wide oval shaped brim and deep crown which is lined in
a black silk fabric with a "Garson Pirie Scott & Co. Chicago"
label inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference
and 40 inches outside. It is in excellent clean wearable condition.
