This late Edwardian era blue and white silk wide brim hat dates from 1915. It is made of a navy blue silk grosgrain ribbon, and white wool striped fabric covering the crown, and outer brim. The under brim is lined in a navy blue silk chiffon fabric. There is a navy blue sheer silk chiffon ribbon hat band, and bow decorating the back of the hat. This early cloche style hat has a wide brim and deep slouched round crown which is lined in a off white silk fabric. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference, and is 40 inches outside. It is in good clean wearable condition, with only a few tiny moth nips in the white wool, and several splits to the inside silk lining.
