This antique Victorian Civil War era white chantilly lace lappet fanchon bonnet dates from the 1860s. It is made of a small wired frame covered with a delicate fine sheer hand made white blonde chantilly lace which drapes down the sides in a decorative lappet style. There is cream color silk pleated ruching surrounding the face, with small velvet orange blossom flowers. This beautiful bridal bonnet headdress has a fanchon style with a short brim and silk ribbon ties under the chin. It is lined in a white tulle net. The bonnet measures 15 inches around the face opening and has 10 inch long lappets on each side. It is in excellent condition, with only a few missing flower trim. This is truly a rare and wonderful wedding bridal bonnet. $150 |
