This antique Edwardian era black silk and Chantilly lace parasol dates from 1910. It is made of stripes of black silk with black net and black Chantilly lace trim edging it. The parasol is not lined and the net stripes are see through. There is an ornately carved black wood handle and finial with a black ribbon bow on top. The parasol has a metal frame which is in fine working order and a black silk tassel hanging from the handle. This marvelous mourning parasol measures 35 inches long and is 96 inches in circumference when opened. It is in excellent useable condition with no splits in the silk.
