Century Fan. |

| This
early antique Dutch hand painted fan dates from the eighteenth century.
It is made of parchment paper with a beautifully done hand painted
scene of women and children threshing wheat with a sickle. There
are three cartouches on the front and one on the back with hand
painted flowers. The fan has carved ivory sticks and guards. There
is a mother of pearl rivet at the bottom holding the fan together.
This early European fan measures 11 1/2 inches long and 27 inches
wide when opened. It is in excellent condition with only a few tiny
rips along the top and some discoloration on the sticks and guards.
This is a wonderful early example and in great condition considering
