Victorian era antique silk Bar crazy quilt top dates from the 1890s.
It is all hand foundation pieced rather than quilted with colorful
silk dress fabric pieces. The quilt top is done in a patch work
style and the pattern name is called "Bar" which has a
striped design and resembles the crazy quilt. The quilt top has
been beautifully hand pieced and machine stitched with wonderful
workmanship and detail. There is muslin backing the fabric pieces,
but no proper binding or backing as it is just a quilt top and not
yet finished. It measures 64 by 56 inches and is in excellent clean
useable condition. $150 |
