This Victorian era antique children's crazy quilt dates from the 1880s. It is all hand stitched and made up of colorful silk and velvet dress fabric remnants. This crazy quilt patch style pattern design has a variety of yellow hand stitching needlework. There are silk patches of owls and flowers. There is an embroidered fan design done in two corners and a large patch with embroidered blue forget-me-nots. There is a yellow silk satin fabric backing. This charming children's size quilt has been beautifully hand made with wonderful workmanship. It measures 62 by 62 inches. The quilt is in excellent clean useable condition and came straight out of a trunk. There are only seven small silk squares which has some slight fraying or tiny splits and are difficult to see. This is truly a superb piece of antique textile folk art.
