This vintage Original By Newell crawfish trap handbag dates from the 1970s and was made in Marathon, FLA. It is made of nicely stained and lacquered wooden planks created into a crawfish trap. This is a replica of the crawfish trap used in the Florida Key's. It is fully lined in a red & white cotton print fabric with pelicans. There are white rope handles on the sides for carrying, and a hinged lid top for opening. This unique summer purse still has the original paper tag inside dated 1974 with a word about the handbag. The handbag measures 10 1/2 inches long, 5 1/2 inches tall, and weighs over 2 pounds. It is in excellent useable condition and looks to have never been used.
