Silk Embroidered Dragon Parasol. |
| This
antique Edwardian era silk embroidered dragon parasol dates from
1910. It is made of a ecru colored raw silk with a raised padded
satin stitch embroidered dragon. The Japanese style dragon is embroidered
around the parasol in a circle. There is a carved bamboo handle,
finial top, and a black metal frame inside in fine working order.
The parasol measures 37 inches long and 96 inches in circumference
when opened. It is in excellent useable condition, with only a few
tiny pin holes in the outer fabric, and some fraying of the green
silk lining. This is a wonderful work of textile art. $150 |
