Turkish Gold Metallic Purse. |

antique Ottoman period Turkish gold metallic purse dates from 1920s.
It is all hand embroidered with tambour chain stitch crewel needlework
done in gold metallic threads on a white silk background. There
is raised padded satin stitch white silk embroidery work filling
in the gold outlined designs of crescent moons, flowers, and Arabic
lettering. The purse has gold metallic crochet lace trim edging,
with a gold rope drawstring closure on top. It is fully lined in
a pale blue cotton fabric inside. This unique drawstring reticule
pouch purse measures 10 by 7 inches. It is in good useable condition,
with only a few small faint age spots, and some missing silk threads
along the bottom embroidery work. This is truly a beautiful one
