antique Caucasus hand woven wool embroidery kilim rug throw dates from the
late 19th century. It is made of a hand woven loomed
embroidered wool with a black background and vibrant colorful bold ethnic tribal geometric motifs, flowers, a stylized knot design and brocading detail patterns. It has been woven on a loom in 3 panels and pieced together to create this large textile tapestry with black hand knotted fringed ends. This magnificent textile comes from the Eurasia Caucasus region, perhaps from a mountainous nomadic tribe group and might have been used as a blanket throw or wall hanging. It has wonderful workmanship
and design. The textile measures 44 inches wide and 52 inches long. It
is in excellent clean useable condition and is a wonderful one of a kind piece of
