Paisley Curtain Drapery Panels Valance. |
This
antique Victorian era paisley curtain drapery panel & valance
set dates from the early 1900s. It has been made of a jacquard hand
loomed woven wool done in strong vivid vibrant colors of red, orange,
brown, blue, green, black and white in a paisley pattern. A antique
paisley shawl with wonderful workmanship and design detail was cut
up to create this curtain set. Included are two slightly different
pairs of curtain panels. One pair of curtains has a red wool center
top and each measure 44 inches long and 18 inches wide. The second
pair has a darker coloring and striped paisley pattern. Each measures
33 inches long and 17 inches wide. There is a matching paisley valance
to go with the second pair which measures 72 inches long and is
9 inches wide. All 5 of the drapery panels have matching wool fringed
trim sewn along the bottom and side edging. They all have the same
pinch pleat hook top for hanging and are fully lined backed in linen.
This outstanding window treatment set has been exquisitely created
with quality workmanship and is in excellent clean useable condition.
They look to have never been used. This is an extraordinary piece
