This vintage Americas map magazine plastic clutch purse dates from the 1980s. It is made of hard plastic and covered with a colorful print map of the Americas Western hemisphere, comprising the continents of North America and South America. This unique clutch style purse has a black leather strap, silver hardware snap closure and is fully lined in a black nylon fabric with inside pocket and "Fortrend Made in China" tag inside. This unique retro magazine style of purse were popular in the 1970s and 1980s which were an Italian invention to deter thieves. Purse snatchers would see them and think they were rolled up magazines not handbags and pass them by. They are a sort of pop art icon. This purse measures 12 inches long, 5 inches wide and 12 inches in circumference. It is in excellent useable condition.
