This vintage Japanese geisha silk screen pastel floral shibori leaf kimono dates from the Showa Period 1960s. It is hand stitched, made of a white silk damask satin textured fabric, with a variety of colorful pastel silk screen flowers outlined in gold metallic paint accents and red shibori tie dye leaf designs. This fabulous formal Japanese senior geisha kimono is fully lined and is quite heavy weighing over 3 pounds. The kimono measures 63 inches long, with 39 inch long furisode kimono sleeves and is 52 inches across the shoulders. Included is the original tatoushi rice paper packaging wrapping. It is in good wearable condition, but does have a few tiny faint age spot stains. This is a wonderful piece of wearable Japanese textile art! $150 |
