This gorgeous vintage Art Deco gray silk embroidered silver beaded flapper drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a dark gray silk fabric, with varying shades of gray raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work done in an Arts & Crafts geometric designs, with silver beaded accents and gray silk tassel fringe trim along the shoulders. This fabulous flapper dress has a loose fitting drop waist style, with ruched smocking along the shoulders, long full sleeves with gauntlet cut work open slit cuffs, overlapping skirt panels, a V front neckline, with hook closures down the front and is lined. The dress is a large size measuring 56 inches long, with 42 inch hips, a 40 inch waist, 38 inch bust and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a tiny fray in the silk fabric on the front top, back bottom skirt and shoulder (see close-up). This is truly an amazing piece of Art Deco wearable beaded textile art!
