It is made of an off white cream color battenburg crochet lace created with tapes, connecting thread picot ornamented bars with a decorative spiral, floral, leaf, scroll work designs. This lovely lace tail coat jacket is a long mid length, with a cutaway front, tailored back, long tapered sleeves, scalloped edge trim, with a large crochet button closure and is sheer because it is unlined. The coat measures 31 inches long, with 34 inch hips, a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 14 inch back and 24 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with only a few small breaks in the connecting brides and some faint tiny age spotting (see close-ups). This is truly an amazing, exceptional, quality made piece of wearable antique lace art!
