This vintage Heiress Swiss Made black silk jersey pleated ruched sheath cocktail dress dates from the 1960s. It is made of a black silk jersey knit fabric, completely covered with heavily pleated ruched gathering details. This classic little black cocktail party dress has a form fitting sexy wiggle sheath style, squared necklines, pleated shoulder straps, a mid length pencil skirt, back zipper closure and is fully lined with quality workmanship, stays boning inside the top and a net lace trim petticoat skirt. There is an "Heiress Swiss Made" designer label and "Sidney Smith Bournemouth, Hants." English store label sewn inside. The dress measures 42 inches long, with 32 inch hips, a 24 inch waist and 32 inch bust. It is in good condition, with only two tiny moth nip holes on the front skirt (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
