This pair of antique Victorian era Baker & Bowman black leather wool high top lace-up boots date from 1900. They are made of a black leather bottom shoe, with black wool fabric upper boot and decorative stitching. The boots have the original faded black shoe laces with metal tips, rounded toes and stacked wooden cube heels. They are lined inside in black silk and cotton twill, with a "Baker & Bowman Co. Syracuse, N.Y." makers label and "The Edwards Store" department store label (see close-ups). The boots measure 10 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be about a size 7 narrow width. They have been gently worn, with some slight wear, scuffs on toes, leather creasing and are in good wearable condition. These are beautiful quality made boots! $150 |
