This pair of vintage Sam's Slipper Shoppe silver metallic leather Art Deco ankle strap shoes date from the 1930s. They are made of a silver metallic leather, with a decorative layered swirled stitched front. These sensational slippers shoes have an open toe, peek-a-boo sides, adjustable buckle closure ankle straps and leather covered cube heels. The insoles are embossed "Made Expressly For Sam's Slipper Shoppe" label. The shoes measure 9 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels. My guess on a modern size would be about a size 6 or 7 narrow width for today's foot. The shoes are in good condition and have been gently worn, with some minor wear along the leather. These are truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco shoe art!
