This pair of antique Turkish Ottoman white kid leather gold purl wire embroidered slipper shoes date from the late 19th century. They are made of a white kid leather, with gold purl wire thread hand embroidery couching work and white silk pompom tassel trim. These opulent ladies slipper style slip-on shoes flats have pointed curled toes and hard leather straight soles stamped on the bottoms with asterisk symbol star shape designs. The shoes measure 9 inches long and 2 inches wide. They are in good condition, have been gently worn, with some only a few faint small age spots stains and some missing purl wire thread embroidery work. These are truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of wearable antique Ottoman textile shoe art!
