These antique Victorian era gentlemen's red silk embroidered daisy braces suspenders date from 1873. They are made of dark red burgundy silk, with white daisy flowers done in raised padded satin stitch embroidery work. The suspenders are backed in a gold silk satin fabric, with red button loop attachments, a "W. Smith Patented 1873" stamped hardware and Dutch windmill engraved silver metal buckle brackets. The suspenders measure 39 inches long and are 1 3/4 inches wide. These beautiful braces are in good condition, with only some minor wear. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable men's Victoriana textile art!
