Vintage Art Deco Navy Blue Wool Gabardine Gold Lamé Embroidered Flapper Coat. This amazing antique Art Deco navy blue wool gabardine gold lamé embroidered flapper coat jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a dark navy blue wool gabardine fabric, with coral red silk grosgrain ribbon trim edging, gold metallic lamé and black silk embroidery work done in decorative diamond geometric Art Deco designs.

This amazing antique Art Deco navy blue wool gabardine gold lamé lame embroidered flapper coat jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a dark navy blue wool gabardine fabric, with coral red silk grosgrain ribbon trim edging, gold metallic lamé and black silk embroidery work done in decorative diamond geometric Art Deco designs. This fabulous flapper evening coat has a band coat uniform style, is a long floor length, loose fitting, with a high neck collar, button closure, long full sleeves and is fully lined in a red silk fabric with inside pocket and a "Gano Downs Denver" department store label sewn inside. The coat measures 41 inches long, with 46 inch hips, a 46 inch waist, 42 inch bust, 15 inch back and 22 inch long sleeve. It is in good condition, with several small moth nip holes, 1 on front, 3 on back, 5 on one sleeve and 1 on the other sleeve (see close-up). It would be great for design inspiration! This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile art!
